Gotta say, the execution here is really clean-cut and supplies you with overwhelming sense of "I need this"... much like an Apple Ad these days =x
and it seems to have found a really cool niche target group here... I guess it being silent... waterproof... USB chargeable... and looking almost completely innocent... and even doubling as a thumbdrive... really pushed it above its competitors...
Project: Duet hit its marketing target of $15k in just 2 days.. and is now soaring over $43k.. a testament that sometimes... you don't need to invent the wheel... you just need to take the time to listen more, and reinvent it =3
So, in the wave of creative and sweet ideas to go about with your marriage.... this one takes geeky-sweetness to a whole new level of complexity... a whole new portal 2 level to be exact =3
From The Escapist:
" Hudston initially put up a want ad on June 19 on thinkingwithportals.com for a secret Portal 2 project. Hoogland applied for the position a month later, unsure about what it could be. After receiving all the details, he finished the project in under a month.
The levels culminate with a makeshift church, and through the voice of everyone's favorite megalomaniac GLaDOS, Gary proposed to his fiancé Stephanie. Yes, voice actress Ellen McLain did read the script herself.
Spoilers: She said yes. "

Another useful thing is blocking hunter pounces... when a hunter is pouncing, if it is from a distance away, you can step back.. this normally causes the hunter to miss and allows you to nudge him away and kill him... the other way is to nudge when he is about to hit you... it will also prevent a successful pounce as shown here... and important to note is that the nudge can come from the ranged or melee weapon equiped =3
Okay, since we decided to start taking on advanced mode.. decided to put this up since a few of us still don't know how to do it =P
The standing crown... useful for wandering witches.. and if you are confident about positioning =3
the safer way for sitting witches is the crotch crown.. which you get next to her, and aim for her face... it gives you move time and area due the upwards view... also shown is the alternative method if you only got a sniper rifle and a melee... this can also be initiated by a pipe bomb (not shown)
and if already startled... the crotch shot to face is your last resort... besides outrunning her =P
Always had a thing for art that are more than meets the eye =3

Using only a single light source and thousands of real-life Newcastle Brown Ale bottle caps, two well-known New York shadow artists have partnered with Newcastle to bring to life a 128 square foot shadow sculpture "
Somehow they remind me of a primitive form of the spider-robots from the Minority Report =O
" Swarmanoid is a heterogeneous robot swarm in which different groups of robots have different capabilities: some robots are specialized in manipulating objects and climbing, some in moving on the ground and transporting objects, and some in flying and observing the environment from above. This video presents the Swarmanoid project, a 4 year research project coordinated by Marco Dorigo and funded by the Commission of the European Union. "
Gotta say its comforting and epic at the same time to be seeing alot of familiar faces in the line-up! DOTA fans will instantly recognise most of them from their signature moves =3

... funny, when you're dead how people start listening... "
Okay, so for quite awhile, Singapore has been selling Minute Maid drinks, my favourite being the Lemonades... but as I was strolling home today.. just a thought came to me... the the name "Minute Maid".. stands for:
Minute: A factor of time, 60 seconds?
or
Minute: Something small?
And after some snooping around the Minute Maid website, I came across a very interesting history of the drink:
" It was in 1945 that after three years of experimentation the National Research Corporation (NRC) of Boston, Massachusetts developed a flavourful orange juice powder from real, delicious oranges. It was made using the same "high-vacuum process" used to dehydrate and prolong the life of such things as penicillin.
In response to the U.S. Army issuing an open order for 500,000 pounds of powdered orange juice the NRC organized the Florida Foods Corporation headed by John M. (Jack) Fox. The new company quickly opened a pilot plant in the heart of the Florida citrus belt.
With the end of the war in sight, the U.S. Army contract was cancelled but the company moved ahead, beginning construction on a full-scale processing plant.
Converting the powdered orange juice into a commercial product proved to be trickier than planned. The solution was an intermediate step – frozen orange juice concentrate which had a rich, fresh-squeezed taste.
Now, the product needed a name. From the city famous for its Minutemen militia, a Boston advertising agency came up with the name "Minute Maid" reflecting the convenience and ease of preparation. "
and if you must know, the Minutemen militia were teams of elite men during the American Revolution, who were famed for their rapid deployment... so yeah, I guess "minute" would refer to it being a factor of time =3
