Been awhile since I posted some nice arty-farty stuff.. and yes, I'm totally in love with this... love the simplistic concept.. and really how we can all do something like tt...
and in case you are wondering... the music piece is "Down Below" by Johannes Stankowski..
" Be just who you want to be, my friend.
You just got to trust in fate.
Do the things you want to do ‘cause life don’t wait.
Take it easy, keep your head up high.
No need for sorrow and despair,
Just keep on moving, it’s such a wonderous world out there.
The years are flashing by and everything will change.
But way down deep inside – we all just stay the same.
And down below,
Old memories come alive and then we know,
Down below.
It’s a long road we all got to walk.
But there’s an awful lot to see.
And the sun keeps rising up wherever you may be.
Fly the ocean, dive into the blue.
No need for sorrow and despair.
Just keep moving, it’s such a wonderous world out there.

Was reading this article in Stomp! and just felt the need to share it.
With more pet lovers around me these days.. I guess I should just share my 10 cents worth..
Firstly, in Singapore...Pets are not permitted on any public transport. Some taxis will take pets providing this has been requested at the time of booking.
And according to the AVA.. after the pet is transported, the vehicle should be sanitized and all... so yeah... that's the way its supposed to be..
So why are cabby folks turning down pet owners even if they are in carriers/cages?
Think of it from another perspective.. what is the person the cabby takes next is a muslim.. or someone allergic to fur? Who gets it? Not you... its the cabby.
Public eateries, with the exception to some outdoor dining areas, mostly disallow pets into the premises... so unless Singapore is going to start having some Halal cabs... I guess pet owners should either rent/borrow or look towards pet taxis like pet movers... true.. I am not a pet owner, and maybe I don't know the hassle of a sick pet.. but yeah.. there is always 2 sides to the story.
Well, with the recent floods, I guess blogosphere really showed the power of mobile phones with camera and HD videos... the sheer number of viewer photos on Stomp!, like here and hereand even here, was both fast and astonishing...
With that said... the government have replied that Singaporeans should be more realistic about the improvements to be made, and that its a freak flood once in 50 years... well.. considering that it quite a number of freak floods have happened in June alone.. I guess the end of the world is near... maybe around June next year..
So I guess all the common man can do is sing along to the Mr Brown Show: Wave Song.. and hope for the best =S
PS: Get a Sampan Soon and move to Higher Grounds.
And yes lah~ Forlan is the winner for the Golden Ball award.. first time that the award had gone to a player whose team was not in the finals..
And if you haven been following him yet.. watch this video montage of the 5 goals he scored in the tournament that put him on par with the top scorers of this world cup.
Sad, but yeah, with tonight, means I officially boh-lai with the world cup..
Really was a series of unfortunate events..
If only Forlan / Villa was first / last scorer...
If only Germany had won their match...
If only Klose had scored something...
Well.. life goes on I guess.. sadly also puts my overall betting for the year, since new year till now.. as boh-lai... guess this year really not a year for gambling at all =S
Tempted to buy Forlan as first / last scorer again.. but nahx.. would be spending it on corn, butter and ice-cream for the finals..
ah... the disappointment =(

Just watched finish an episode of House.. Ignorance Is Bliss and honestly.. I sorta feel for the patient..
Some people say intellect is a gift, and that you should make the most out of it.. but at times, i just feel that maybe, too much of it, and being forced by it to search for excellence, can be a curse..
To me, living in a society, means interacting with people.. and true, with an above-average intellect, there might be some barriers, when it comes to topics that you share with you mates... unless of course, you surround yourself with intellectuals too.. which then becomes too bothersome as it might be too competitive..
Maybe its a Pisces thing.. I guess I'm just quite dislike competition by nature.. and in a way I guess I am thankful to have stayed on in a neighbourhood school and later in poly.. the pace is slow, and I've found intellectuals with the same sentiments as myself.
so yeah, I guess I feel for the patient.. sometimes, lowering your intellect intentionally might not be a bad thing really.. if it makes you happy, and frees you up to do the things you wanna, and rather do, then yeah, it can be a liberating act ^^x
