Months back, I posted about the science behind the burger lab... well for Easter, I thought, why not let's look at the science of getting the perfect boiled egg?

and boy, are they precise in their science for it =O

But I gotta say, that egg there is to die for =3
According to them, with the following constants,

  • Eggs from the fridge (4°C)
  • Large, or moderately sized eggs
  • Large volume of water (So that there is no significant drop in temperature on adding the eggs)
  • Boil water to 82°C

And it will take around 6 minutes, give or take 15 seconds.
