Alrighty~! I am back from a long vacation =P Finally.
Will be spreading out the photos over the next few entries as there are really quite a number =P Guess the g800 is turning me into a photo-whore =x
First up, is the trip to the Kelong. Spent 2 days 1 night on this Kelong offshore of Malaysia with the Montfort Guys and their gals.
The trip started with a ferry ride from Changi Ferry Terminal.
The wait was long and there weren't much sitting space. So, we bought drinks from the nearby vending machine. To Siao's horror, the vending machine served both hot and cold drinks. Nice warm canned coffee =P
After a long boat ride, and a trip to an offshore customs, we reached the Kelong.
Upon reaching, we decided to occupy the quarters at the base of the Kelong, away from everyone else. There was a small sitting area, torn sofa and benches, and a floating sleeping area (Left corner of picture) that rocked with the sea. Water-Bed.
We then took a look around. Snooped around their rearing ponds.
"Zheng" my offshore TV
The living quarters of the other fishers living above.
Back to Nature.
Taking the orders for refreshments and snacks.
And then, it was down to business.
Some took up all positions possible.
Some rested.
Some meditated for the right time
Soon, the fish got hungry.
Even I caught some.
And our top scorer, catching 2 with one line.
Siao with our first edible fish (The ones before were all coral fishes with little meat =3 )
Our top catcher hooking a puffer fish.
And even a sting ray in the pitch black of night.
We weren't the only ones making catches. A bird in flight got caught in a stray wire.
After a day of fishing, dinner was something to look forward to. *yum* =3
And finally, an artistic shot into the beautiful sunset. Love the perspective of this shot.
